This was the welcome we received from Rotary District 3700 Tuesday night. What a warm welcome indeed! After checking in at the Prince Hotel in Daegu, we walked to a restaurant nearby and exchanged business cards, had a toast (the Korean for “cheers” sounds something like “one shot,” implying that you are required to empty your glass), and were treated to a bowl of homemade chicken and rice soup. All eaten while sitting cross-legged on the floor of course.
