The events of Monday, April 16 in Blacksburg, Virginia, had an especially chilling effect on Koreans.  Our hosts were, of course, horrified, along with the rest of the world, but they also felt somehow responsible.  They couldn’t believe that one of their own could do such a thing.

 

On Wednesday night, David and Doug were invited by Doug’s homestay host, Mr. Jin, to hear some friends of his perform at a hotel lounge.  Mr. Jin asked Doug to request a song, and before long,  Doug was invited up on stage to help sing Eric Clapton’s “Tears In Heaven.”  Music has been such a big part of this trip, and tonight, music was there to help share feelings so difficult to express.
